Thames Water Planning Permission Granted

You will have heard that Planning permission has been granted for Thames Water to go ahead with Super Sewer. We are pleased that the planning inspectorate agree that KSG is not a suitable site. But having attended their rigorous examination of Thames Water, we’re astonished that ministers have overruled their own planning inspectors’ recommendation to use Abbey Mills rather than Chambers Wharf as a drive site.

Vote for Love Your Park

FiT provide funding to KSG for planting and play equipment as well as important legal protection against any future attempts to use the park for development or construction. Voting closes on the 3rd November 2014.

Entries to Fields in Trust Awards

We are nominating Councillor Barrie Hargrove for a FIT Community Champion Award and King’s Stairs Gardens for the Most Improved Field in the annual FIT Awards. Barrie has supported our campaign to save KSG, and has driven forward our Village Green and FIT status for the park to ensure it is safe for generations to come. Barrie has also pushed hard for the new lighting that has now been installed in KSG.
